A bar mitzvah project wasn't the plan...but when we realized that our visit to Pantry Packers would be on our son's English birthday (Sunday Oct 13 and he'd become 13!), it dawned on us to do or even try something extra (though skeptical).

To our surprise, we reached the initial goal raising $613 for a plaque in honor of Simcha and the community in under two hours...and more towards the effort.

The spirit of giving truly is powerful, even beyond what's written. As such, we increased the goal to $1800...and we made that too!

How incredibly touching to see friends and family from all over the world giving so that all families in Israel (non religious and religious) will have food on their table.

In a world right now full of darkness and challenges, there is light and hope. And as we soon approach Sukkot, may we see ourselves wrapped up in love and protection.
