Chabad of Port Washington is teaming up with Pantry Packers to help those in need. Pantry Packers will be visiting our school and doing a workshop to package food for local families in need. We are also raising money to help feed families in Israel that need help now!

Pantry Packers is the food distribution arm of Colel Chabad, the oldest continuously operating network of social services in Israel – established in 1788. In addition to delivering monthly food crates with necessary food supplies to Israel's poorest families and senior citizens, Pantry Packers and Colel Chabad have launched several emergency campaigns for Operation Swords of Iron, which include:

*Distributed over 3,000 cards with 5,000₪ ($1,250) each to families from 21 communities that lost their homes to buy clothes & food.

*Providing Toys for Kids in Israel who are in shelters under attack, and haven’t been able to return to school.

*Opened a “Pop-Up” shop of free clothing for 500 families that were evacuated from Kfar Maimon to a Jerusalem hotel.

*Holocaust survivors have been receiving hot, delicious meals delivered to their doorsteps.

*3,000 extra meals-on-wheels a day to homebound elderly in the affected Israeli cities

*Feeding 6,000 evacuees from the North & South coming to shelters in Jerusalem.
