Gila's Bat Mitzvah Campaign For Bayit Cham Library

In honor of my bat mitzvah, I wanted to take on a project that would have meaning to me. Last summer I was able to go to Pantry Packers with my family and help package food for people in Israel who are struggling financially. I knew that this was an organization that would help me give back to the people in Israel in a meaningful way.
Pantry Packers (a project of Colel Chabad) has set up an initiative to raise money for another Colel Chabad organization, Bayit Cham. It is a “warm house” for children of families with socioeconomic challenges and /or difficult situations. They receive a hot lunch, help with their homework, support, and snacks for the next day. They have a wonderful staff of mothers, fathers, counselors, teachers, psychologists, and cooks.
They are currently looking to raise funds to renovate the library, which would cost $5,000. Since I learned to read, I have loved books and read every day. It would mean so much to me and my family if you could help Bayit Cham raise money so children can enjoy reading as much as I do.
