As we complete the wonderful celebration of Chanukah with our NSHA Family, we strive to continue to be a light for chesed to the world.
The NSHA Middle School has a unique opportunity to participate - for the second Year - in a multi-dimensional global chesed program with the well-known Israeli chesed organization Pantry Packers. You may be familiar with this important organization, which feeds thousands of people in Israel who suffer from food insecurity.
Our program will have two aspects:
1) On Tuesday morning, January 10 the NSHA Middle School students will be packing food for people who are experiencing food insecurity in our own community.
2) Starting today we will be raising funds for the food, preparation and distribution of food to the families that Pantry Packers serves in Israel. One can donate at DONATE link on to the right.
Additionally, if each student wishes to make his or her own individual page and raise funds from friends/family one can open a private page at link below (join our team). Once the student reaches $613 and over, his or her name will be added on a plaque to a special wall in the Israel headquarters of Pantry Packers. When you next travel to Israel, you can both see the plaque and participate in the packing and preparation of thousands of packages created daily.
Several members of our community have visited and have participated in Pantry Packers chesed programs in Israel and the NSHA Middle School Family is humbled to be part once again.
